Allison (Hinz) Wood is an elementary English Learners teacher who works for Saint Paul Public Schools ISD 625 in Minnesota. She resides in the Twin Cities metro with her husband, son, and rescue dog.  Allison holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Family and Consumer Journalism from the University of Wisconsin--Madison and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Hamline University.

Allison enjoys reading, writing, shopping and spending time outdoors.  She loves to travel with her family and spends school breaks and vacations all over the country, especially beach destinations.  Allison also likes coffee, Peloton workouts, movies, and singing loudly in the car.

Sprinkles is Allison's first published children's picture book, but certainly will not be her last.
